All Led Ring Lights we build have embedded electronics and adjustable intensity. No external controller required. Working distance from 30 to 500 mm.
For longer working distances, please see our Lensed Led Ring Lights, and for shorter working distances
Mini Ring Lights . Standard light uniformity +/-10% over the specified field of view. For more demanding
applications we use front diffusers with higher diffusing power. Stable lighting in visible spectrum, UV and IR. Inside diameters from 33 to 164 mm
cover most of the lenses on the market, including lenses for macro photography and large diameter telecentric lenses. Sealed, washable led ring lights.
Mounted around the lens with 3-set screws, in front of the lens utilizing the filter thread, or, independently from the lens, utilizing four 4-40
threaded mounting holes on the back of the ring light or 1/4-20 threaded mounting rod. Power connected via "piggy tail" cable with strain
relief, sealed connector and detachable cordset, or "banana plug" socket. Large ring lights were specifically designed for large macro and
telecentric lenses.

Every ring light we build goes through the optical alignment process. Each single LED is manually positioned (aligned) so its light
beam illuminates a predetermined portion of the illumination pattern.
Our standard ring lights feature two circles of LEDs. Depending on the diameter of the ring light,
type of LEDs used, specified Field of View (FOV) and Working Distance (WD), the inner and outer circles of LEDs are aligned to
form desired FOV with maximum illuminance at the specified WD. In the RL33-WHT-50-50- example shown, at 50 mm, the inner circle
of LEDs (shown in magenta) illuminates the outer limits of the specified field of view, and the outer circle of LEDs (shown in red)
illuminates the center. This arrangement, although optimal for illuminating the 50 mm FOV at 50 mm WD, introduces the high
intensity area in the center (shown as dark red) for working distances between 60 and 110 mm, and, as a result, the +/- 10% FOV
in 75-100 mm WD range drops down to 34 -42 mm. For 75-100 mm WD range we would align the inner and outer circles of LEDs differently,
to achive the optimal illuminance and specified FOV.
On our standard ring lights we use diffuser with 85% light transmission. As an option, for more demanding applications, we offer
diffusers with 45%, 35% and 25% light transmission.
