| Coaxial Lights Features: Our diffuse on axis (coaxial) led lights are fully sealed, suitable for clean room, semiconductor, food processing and pharmaceutical machine vision and visual inspection applications. Diffuse on axis (coaxial) led lights are available with standard and high current leds in visible spectrum (including RGB), UV and IR (see Color Codes below). Working distance from 0 to 50 mm. Field of view 25x25, 50x50, 75x75 and 100x100 mm. Light uniformity +/- 10% over the specified Field of View. All diffuse coaxial led lights have embedded electronics (no external controller required). 24 volt models come with "piggy tail" cable with strain relief or with sealed connector and detachable cordset. 12 volt models come with "banana plug" socket and detachable 110VAC to 12VDC converter. Coaxial lights are mounted to a removable standard 1/4-20 mounting stud or, optionally, to a bracket (mounting holes on the back per customer specifications). |

Diffuse On Axis (Coaxial) Light Illumination Structure: Diffuse on axis (coaxial) led lights provide uniform, shadow-free, on-axis illumination for inspection of shiny (specular) surfaces. Led light rays reflect off the beam splitter at nearly 90 deg and illuminate the target. Light reflected from the specular surfaces of the target forms a bright image. Light reflected from the nonspecular (diffuse) surfaces, or surfaces at an agle, forms darker image. Coaxial illumination enhances scraches and indented or embossed features and creates contrast between specular and diffuse surfaces. It is used for reading print on shiny metal surfaces (like cans or pharmacetical products) or on parts packed in transparent foil or containers. It is also used for inspecting metal leads on ICs and other electronic components, solder patterns on printed circuit boards. In machine vision and inspection applications dealing with clear overcoats and reflective wrappings, diffuse on axis illumination minimizes reflections (glare). Sealed top and bottom windows with antireflective coating make our coaxial led lights suitable for semiconductor, clean room, pharmaceutical and food processing applications. |
